Senator TAMBLING —Mr Acting Deputy President, before the Senate moves on, can I clarify a point? I appreciate that the process for the tabling of documents is a routine and normal one. But, being the first day of sittings and given the number of reports that have been incorporated today through attachments A, B and C in the lists that you read earlier, I request that they be preserved on the Notice Paper for future debate on a Thursday. I know that Senator Tierney requested that some of them be adjourned, but there is a significant number of important reports in that regard.

The ACTING DEPUTY PRESIDENT (Senator Calvert)—Perhaps the appropriate action would be to move that the Senate take note of any of those documents you wish to have preserved and to seek leave to continue your remarks later.
