Senator KERNOT (Leader of the Australian Democrats) —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  That the following matter be referred to the Select Committee on Superannuation for inquiry and report on or before 31 January 1995:

The respective positions of men and women in Australia in relation to their incomes in retirement, with particular reference to:

  (a)the likely impact on women of the Government's decision to progressively raise the pension age for women from 60 to 65;

  (b)the factors which affect both men's and women's ability to save for retirement;

  (c)whether current taxation concessions for superannuation particularly disadvantage women; and

  (d)access by women to superannuation post-retirement.
