Senator LEES (Deputy Leader of the Australian Democrats) (6.19 p.m.) —I take the opportunity to close the debate on this particular request that we have moved because, as Senator Chamarette has said, if we really are on about equality, we should be on about reducing the men's pension age, given our economic climate and the unemployment difficulties with which we are faced. I just wish to remind honourable senators that we will now be voting on the first request, which deals with the question of equality, to bring the men's pensionable age, the option to retire, down to 60.
