Senator SANDY MACDONALD —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  That the Senate—

  (a)condemns the Prime Minister (Mr Keating) for his continuing and predictable un-Australian behaviour;

  (b)notes that Mr Keating's:

    (i)comments in London that he had `roughed it' on his D-Day trip because he was forced to fly our national carrier is an insult to Qantas,

    (ii)pandering to the French President, Mr Mitterrand, by saying Australia will become a republic like France, is entirely inappropriate; and

  (c)notes that:

    (i)Australians are now aghast and diminished by a Prime Minister who regards Australia as `the lingering stereotypes of gormless men and shrimps on the barbecue'; and

    (ii)the Prime Minister's expression that Australia is `the arse-end of the earth' is to be deplored.
