Senator Patterson asked the Minister representing the Treasurer, upon notice, on 8 March 1994:

  (1) Does the department, or any of its agencies, produce electoral profiles (or other like documents) outlining relevant programs, services or other forms of assistance provided in individual federal electorates; if so, when were these electoral profiles (or other like documents) first produced and how frequently are they produced

  (2) Is a copy of these electoral profiles (or other like documents) provided to the Parliamentary Library; if not, why not.

  (3) Please provide a copy of the most up-to-date edition of each of these electoral profiles (or other like documents) for all federal electorates to the Parliamentary Library.

Senator Cook —The Treasurer has provided the following answer to the honourable senator's question:

However, the Australian Bureau of Statistics has provided the following information:

  (2) Yes

  (3) The Parliamentary Library already has the profiles of federal electorates produced from the 1991 Census.
