Senator SCHACHT (Minister for Small Business, Customs and Construction) —In view of what Senator Baume just said about Mr T. F. Williams—that his passing was not noted by the House of Representatives—I would ask that the Senate inform the House of Representatives, even at this late stage two years on, so that an appropriate condolence motion can be passed in view of the fact that Mr Williams was the second last person born in the 19th century to have served in the Australian parliament.

  Question resolved in the affirmative, honourable senators standing in their places.
