Senator GARETH EVANS (Minister for Foreign Affairs) —by leave—I am not sure that I heard all of the question because I was seeking information. It is my understanding that this afternoon in the House of Representatives Mr Walker, the Minister for Administrative Services, will be tabling a letter that he has written to the President of the Senate—I do not know whether or not the President has yet received it—responding to developments in the Senate over the last 24 hours. As to the substance of that letter and what happens next, I think I had better leave it to Mr Walker to take that particular course of action and for the President to respond as he sees appropriate.
