Senator VANSTONE (8.06 p.m.) —I understand Senator Bolkus's sentiment but I do not know that this clause will produce dangerous situations. It seems to limit opportunities if three or four officers want to, on announcement, quickly go to three or four separate rooms at the same time. This clause will be extraordinarily impractical in those sorts of circumstances. If three or four police officers at any one time go into three or four separate rooms, I do not know that the tape can actually show that much. I understand the sentiment but this clause is not practical.
