Senator COOK —Earlier in question time today Senator Campbell asked me a question in about eight parts broadly concerning progress on an inquiry into the audit office's accommodation and terms of reference. I have some information that I can provide to Senator Campbell. The terms of reference for the inquiry have been agreed following consultations between the Minister for Finance, Mr Beazley, and the opposition shadow minister for finance, Mr Costello. Mr MacPherson, the South Australian Auditor-General, and Mr Boymal, independent auditor of the Audit Office, under the Audit Act have broad terms of reference and are expected to report to the parliament—which was one of the questions asked—in the week beginning 28 May, which was one of the other questions asked. I have in the file of documents associated with this a document entitled Draft terms of reference inquiry into Centenary House. It has a confidential stamp on the top and on the bottom of it. Before I table that, I had better inquire of the finance minister whether it would be legitimate for me to do so and to make it available to Senator Campbell. I will answer other parts of Senator Campbell's question when I have studied them and have replies.
