Senator KILGARIFF(11.37) —I am not in a rattling mood, although I am a little rattled with the legislation that is being pushed through. I asked, firstly, whether the legislation means that all rentals and royalties received are payable to the Northern Territory. Secondly, as the Bill makes no provision for the payment of rent or royalty, what charges and royalty rates will apply to miners exploring or mining in the conservation zone? Thirdly, if the Territory Government accepts an invitation to assist in the conduct of the exploration program, will the Commonwealth reimburse any costs involved?
