Senator NEWMAN(11.12) —Before the debate was interrupted for Question Time, the Minister for Education (Senator Ryan), who was then at the table, was asked whether the Government would accept the amendments put up by the Opposition on the basis of the strong recommendations from the Standing Committee for the Scrutiny of Bills. I would be obliged if we could have an answer now.
