Senator SANDERS(6.14) —It would be useful at this time to point out that no jobs will be lost if in fact logging just went on in other areas as it would have anyway. This whole operation of the Robin Gray Government in the Lemonthyme and the Southern Forests is merely to force an issue. The loggers need not go into these areas anyway. There is no need at this time to log these areas. The only reason they are logging in these areas is to force the Federal Government to take action and thus raise an election issue in Tasmania. There is no need to log these areas. Therefore there is no potential loss of jobs.
