Senator TOWNLEY —My question is directed to Senator Ryan as the Minister representing the Minister for Arts, Heritage and Environment. Does the Minister agree that Professor Jackson was totally incorrect when he claimed that `cutting of forests in Tasmania is 19 per cent in excess of sustained yield', because in his calculations Professor Jackson included pine pulpwood, understoring species, myrtle on private property and residues generated by sawmills? I realise that the Minister may not have the facts. If she does not, will she attempt to get them and inform the Senate as soon as possible?

Senator RYAN —Yes; as Senator Townley has suggested, I will refer the question to the Minister for Arts, Heritage and Environment and get an answer as soon as possible.
