Senator MACKLIN(10.25) —If nobody else wishes to contribute to the debate, I will respond briefly to Senator Durack's remarks. My motion is a procedural motion in terms of how we are dealing with the debate. It is not pertinent to the content of the debate.

The ACTING DEPUTY PRESIDENT —The question is that the motion moved by Senator Macklin be agreed to.

Senator Durack —Apparently he has not moved anything.

Senator Macklin —Yes, I did. I sought leave; leave was granted, and I moved the motion.

The ACTING DEPUTY PRESIDENT —Senator Macklin, by leave, moved that the matter be considered in the Committee of the Whole. That is the motion before the Chair.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
