To the Honourable the President and members of the Senate in the Parliament assembled. The humble petition of the undersigned citizens respectfully showeth:

That the decision of the Government to introduce an administration fee of $250.00 for students undertaking tertiary education be amended to reflect the study load of each individual student.

Your petitioners humbly pray that the Senate, in Parliament assembled amend the regulation to ensure:

that tertiary students pay the full $250.00 administration fee when undertaking 100% of the faculty load; students undertaking less than 100% but more than 75% pay three-quarters of that fee (i.e. $187.50); students undertaking in excess of 50% but less than 75% pay one-half of that fee (i.e. $125.00); students undertaking less than 50% pay one-quarter of that fee (i.e. $62.50); and

that mature age students on a scholarship who fall below the means test level for undergraduate students who have no other means of income be exempt from the administration fee, and that external students be subject to pro-rata administration fees as proposed for part-time students.

And your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray.
