To the Honourable the President, and members of the Senate in Parliament assembled.

The petition of the undersigned citizens of Australia respectfully shows that whereas:

(1) Identification cards and numbers severely threaten our freedom to live unfettered by excessive bureaucratic surveillance;

(2) the Government has been unable to present any realistic justification for the introduction of ID cards and numbers;

We humbly pray that the Senate, in Parliament assembled should reject any proposal to inflict ID cards and numbers on the freedom loving people of Australia.
