Senator SANDERS —Is the Minister representing the Minister for Arts, Heritage and Environment aware that portions of the National Estate are presently being clear felled at Jackeys Marsh, in spite of the Prime Minister's pledge to save such areas from the woodchippers? Is she also aware that the Government's environmental credibility is now on the line? If so, when will the Prime Minister honour his promise? Will Cabinet meet again today to discuss this issue as a matter of urgency? If not, when will Cabinet meet to discuss the situation?

Senator RYAN —I am sure that Senator Sanders will be pleased to hear that the Cabinet currently has this matter under the most detailed and careful consideration. When we have arrived at a position, we will let Senator Sanders and everyone else know.
