Senator COLEMAN —My question is directed to the Minister representing the Minister for Foreign Affairs. In light of recent events on the Nicaragua-Honduras border, will the Government reaffirm in the strongest terms its opposition to any United States of America participation in this dispute, and ongoing attempts by United States-backed forces to destabilise the Nicaraguan Government?

Senator GARETH EVANS —I would be delighted to, if I could find my script.

Senator Button —Do it from the heart.

Senator GARETH EVANS —If I did it from the heart, I would be too extravagant. I have to adopt carefully modulated tones in these matters and I will do so at the end of Question Time.
