Senator ELSTOB —I present the nineteenth report of the Publications Committee and I seek leave to move a motion in relation to the report.

Leave granted.

Senator ELSTOB —I move:

That the report be adopted.

Mr Acting Deputy President, I wish to correct an oversight. Last week the Joint Committee on Publications put down a report on the review, cost and distribution of the Parliamentary Papers Series. I inadvertently forgot to thank the Acting Secretary to that Committee, Maureen Weeks, who has done a sterling job for the Publications Committee. When I brought down that report I simply forgot to thank her. It was a tragic mistake on my part and on this occasion I most certainly thank her. Maureen Weeks is one of the most competent people with whom I have worked on any committee and because of her dedication the report I put down last week could save the Government many thousands of dollars. It is mainly to her credit that it is such a fine report. Once again, I apologise for my oversight and thank her very sincerely. I understand that next year she will be leaving us; she will be a legislation officer in the Table Office. Our loss is its gain. She is a most competent person, a very pleasant person to work with, and I thank her very much.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
