Senator REID(3.35) —I support the motion that the debate be adjourned to the next day of sitting. I urge that it be discussed then because the Senate needs to apply itself to examining reports of the Joint Standing Committee which was set up to look at matters concerning the new Parliament House. In particular, some matters which are of importance to the Senate are set out in paragraphs 5 to 10 of the report. Paragraph 10 points out that the Joint Standing Committee regards this situation with extreme concern and suggests that it be resolved. I support the motion that the debate be adjourned, but I would say that this matter must be debated because the issues which the Committee has raised in this report are ones which must be resolved by the Senate.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
