Senator LEWIS(9.58) —I indicated to the Minister that rather than put a question on notice it might be a lot easier if I were to ask it at this level. I ask the Minister, for starters: What would be the unit cost of the collection of garbage from one household in the Australian Capital Territory? I gather from the shaking of the Minister's head that that information is not currently available. Is the Minister able to tell us what the award wages are for garbage collectors in the Australian Capital Territory? To assist him, I understand that garbage collectors in the Australian Capital Territory work shifts of about four hours per day for four days a week, making a 16-hour week, that for that their salary is approximately $370 and that they receive three months long service leave after 15 years. Is the Minister able to confirm that to me?
