Senator GARETH EVANS (Minister for Resources and Energy)(5.06) —As to the consultants, I have already indicated that that is part of a draft report which is with the Minister. It has been indicated to me that there should be no difficulties now in extracting that information from the draft document and providing it very quickly to Senator Michael Baume. As to the stationery saga, the suggestion from my left is that it appears a page may well have been inadvertently left out from the sequencing of the material, in which case it ought to be possible very quickly, in an hour or so, or certainly by tomorrow, to provide that information which it is acknowledged provides no particular difficulty in being produced.

As to the question of sick leave in the AFP, I am advised that compilation of the information sought is simply not ready. It will be provided as soon as possible. The officers in question are reeling from the verbal scourging that they have received today from Senator Michael Baume, and no doubt will be suitably responsive accordingly.
