Senator Michael Baume asked the Minister representing the Minister for Arts, Heritage and Environment, upon notice, on 16 September 1986:

Has the Minister's Department, any statutory body or authority under the control of the Minister granted funds to the Tasmanian Trade Union Community Research Centre since 5 March 1983; if so-

(a) under what schemes/programs were these grants given;

(b) what was the amount of money involved for these grants;

(c) who administered these grants;

(d) what were the purposes of the schemes/programs; and

(e) why were these grants necessary.


Senator Ryan —The Minister for Arts, Heritage and Environment has provided the following answer to the honourable senator's question:

I am advised that no funds have been granted to the Tasmanian Trade Union Community Research Centre by the Department of Arts, Heritage and Environment or any statutory body or authority under the control of the Minister for Arts, Heritage and Environment.
