Senator PETER RAE(10.13) —I shall try to pursue the matter a little further. I ask the Minister to turn to page 2 of the letter and he will find that it reads:

Following my review of the papers associated with the counter services audit--

and I emphasise the next words-

and the comments you provided--

'you' being the Chief General Manager of the Australian Postal Commission-

in your letter of 4 July 1984 to Mr C. T. Monaghan, I have decided that the further work necessary to carry out the audit should not be undertaken.

I would like to know the comments that were provided by the Australian Postal Commission to the Auditor-General which apparently motivated the Auditor-General to make the decision to which he refers in his letter.
