Senator BOSWELL —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That the Senate-

(a) notes with concern that the following Queensland shires or portions of Queensland shires have been declared drought-stricken: Bowen, Blackall, Ilfracombe, Isisford, Longreach, Murwah and Richmond;

(b) recognises the damaging effect drought has, not only on primary producers, but on provincial towns and small businesses dependent on these primary producers;

(c) condemns the Federal Government for scrapping the Commonwealth fodder subsidy scheme, the Commonwealth interest payment subsidy scheme and the bicentennial water resources program; and

(d) calls on the Federal Minister for Primary Industry to urgently clarify his Government's policy on drought relief.
