Senator MACKLIN(6.24) —I would like to reiterate that I think it is a pity that the requests will not be carried. I think there will be considerable problems for the industry in the years ahead. I had hoped that the Opposition would have been able to be flexible enough. Although we were not able to achieve the objectives of my request that was voted on previously, we were able to support the lesser position. I had hoped that the Opposition might have been able to do likewise in the interests of this industry. Obviously it is not.
