Senator BUTTON (Minister for Industry, Technology and Commerce)(6.07) —I suppose that it is a matter for subjective comment, in a sense. Senator Macklin is saying that, in his view, if the figure is reduced to 15 per cent the industry will have inadequate assistance. That is not the Government's view. I thought we had been through those hoops already. I come back to one thing I said in answer to Senator Archer, for which I apologise. I said that the Commonwealth had provided $5m. That is not true. The Commonwealth will provide two-thirds of $5m on the basis of arrangements with the States. I withdraw that original figure.
