Senator WALSH (Minister for Finance)(9.26) —The Government sees the amendment as really quite unnecessary. Whether the legislation states that the person should be nominated by the President of the National Farmers Federation or by the National Farmers Federation the Government believes is of no consequence. But I would like some indication of the official Opposition view on this. As we believe it is of no consequence, we see no point in forcing a division on the matter.
