Senator BUTTON (Minister for Industry, Technology and Commerce)(11.05) —I have heard the contributions made by honourable senators. Senator Kilgariff has asked a number of questions on somebody's behalf and Senator Tate has uttered a prayer and has beseeched the Government to do something. I will see that both the questions and the prayer are directed to the right quarter.

The PRESIDENT —On 28 March I informed the Senate that I was concerned at the inaccuracy of some media reports on certain proceedings in the New South Wales Local Court in which I, as President, had arranged for legal counsel to appear. I wrote to the Chairman of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation on this matter and I advise the Senate that I have now received a reply from the Chairman, a copy of which I table for the information of honourable senators.

Question resolved in the affirmative.

Senate adjourned at 11.06 p.m.
