Senator GEORGES —by leave-During the debate I raised the possibility that you, Mr President, may reconsider the appointment of people to appear before the courts, and I hope you will consider that matter. I do not think it is necessary for me to seek leave to move a motion at this stage, but I do think that the expressions of opinion in the Senate seem to indicate that perhaps you should reconsider your decision to have counsel before the courts on a continuing basis to protect the privilege of the Senate.

The PRESIDENT —Order! I have already explained my reasons to the Senate for the action that I authorised to be taken. I will give consideration to the matter raised by Senator Georges.
