Senator PETER RAE —Mr Acting Deputy President, I claim to have been misrepresented and wish to make a personal explanation.

The ACTING DEPUTY PRESIDENT (Senator Elstob) —You may proceed.

Senator PETER RAE —Senator Jack Evans suggested that I approved of illegal acts and that I had suggested that no action should be taken against the people who had perpetrated illegal acts. That was a figment of his imagination, a total invention. I have never said any such thing, nor do I believe it. I simply make it quite clear that I do not approve of illegal acts and I do not approve of the idea that no action should be taken against the people who are guilty of illegal acts. I do not take it any further than that.
