To the Honourable President and the members of the Senate in Parliament assembled. The petition of the undersigned citizens of Australia respectfully showeth:

That the Australian Legal Aid Office and the Federal Attorney General's Department have since 8/11/1983 failed after numerous telephone and written requests to investigate the claims of Mr J. K. Gates of gross misconduct of legal advisers involving large sums of public funds paid to these people by the Australian Legal Aid Office N.S.W. and further that the conduct was knowingly false and resulted in a miscarriage of justice.

The conduct of both responsible parties in failing to investigate the claims, with the claimant is and has caused great hardship. Why is the Australian Legal Aid Office and the Federal Attorney General's Department refusing to investigate a claim of fraud involving public funds, an abuse of the legal system, also an abuse of the Australian Legal Aid system that protects the Australian public and also an abuse of the Federal Court.

Why will not the Australian Legal Aid Officer or the Federal Attorney General's Department immediately investigate the claims of Mr Gates, with Mr Gates, allowing him the opportunity to produce evidence and facts, to date refused and then to assist, as now refused, to conduct rectification proceeding through the courts as to allow the claimant, to have a fair trial.

And your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray.
