Senator HARRADINE(5.46) —One of the difficulties with Estimates committees is that very often they clash with other committees. For example, the Joint Select Committee on Electoral Reform is sitting on 15 April from 10.15 a.m. I understand that it is scheduled to sit for the whole day. I have some ongoing matters for investigation concerning certain departmental estimates. I take this opportunity to make the point that I will be attending, as a member, the Joint Select Committee on Electoral Reform and I may have to come in a little later to some of the Estimates committee hearings and ask questions a little out of turn. I make that point at this stage so it will be understood at that time that it is not of my choice to do that; it is because these sorts of meetings very often clash.
