The PRESIDENT —I inform the Senate that I have received the following letter, dated 26 March, from Senator Chaney:

Dear Mr President, Pursuant to Standing Order 64, I give notice that today I propose to move-

'That, in the opinion of the Senate, the following is a matter of urgency: In light of the kite flying about means testing the supporting spouse allowance in the taxation system and family allowances in the social security system, the need to make it clear to the Government and the pending tax summit that there must be provisions in the tax and social security systems to allow for the additional responsibilities of those with dependants.'

More than the number of senators required by the Standing Orders having risen in their places-
