Senator LEWIS —by leave-A number of senators on this side, and I am sure on the Government side, are concerned that this week there has been practically no opportunity to debate papers. We have had half-an-hour today and we had no opportunity on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Senator Grimes —That is not our fault.

Senator LEWIS —Senator Grimes says that it is not the Government's fault. It was by arrangement to enable certain people to make their maiden speeches and things of that nature. I am not saying that it is the Government's fault but there is definitely a problem. I seek leave to move a motion relating to this matter.

Leave granted.

Senator LEWIS —I move:

That the Senate take note of each of the Government Papers tabled on 19, 20 and 21 March 1985, with the exception of those Government Papers in relation to which motions to take note have already been moved.
