Senator JESSOP(6.39) —Briefly I want to endorse the remarks already made about Frank Stewart. It must be a very difficult task to deal with the transport requirements of senators. We are all egotistical, temperamental characters. It reminds me of the occasion when I was asked how I would feel in Parliament dealing with members of parliament. At that time I was president of a drama, arts and music club in Port Augusta. I said that if I could deal with the temperamental artists who strut the floor boards in front of floodlights I reckoned I could be happy in Canberra. I am sure that Frank has dealt with our requirements in a very friendly way. I do not think anyone has yet mentioned the way in which he has looked at the transport requirements of our wives, husbands and families. I think that that is particularly important. My wife is sitting in the gallery at the moment. She regards Frank Stewart and his colleagues who assist us in this way as very good friends. My wife and I join in wishing Frank and his wife good health and a very pleasant life in retirement.
