Senator CRICHTON-BROWNE —My question is addressed to the Minister representing the Attorney-General. When might the Senate expect an exhaustive and conclusive answer from the Government on the report of the Senate Standing Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs regarding the onus of proof in criminal proceedings?

Senator GARETH EVANS —I did refer to that Senate Committee's report in answer to Senator Cooney earlier. I do not know what the timetable is for the consideration of these and other matters of reform in the present Attorney-General's administration. I will ask him and find out.
