Motions (by Senator Chipp) agreed to:

That so much of the Standing Orders be suspended as would prevent the Leader of the Australian Democrats (Senator Chipp) moving a motion relating to the order of business on the Notice Paper.

That the General Business Order of the Day relating to the Australian Waters (Nuclear-powered Ships and Nuclear Weapons Prohibition) Bill 1984 have precedence over all other business on the Notice Paper until consideration of that Bill is concluded.
