Senator SCOTT (Leader of the National Party of Australia) —I would like on behalf of the National Party of Australia to endorse the words and expressions of the Leader of the Government in the Senate (Senator Button) and the Leader of the Opposition (Senator Chaney) referable to Sir William McKell. Sir William proved over a very long time to be a fine Australian. I think his life was perhaps an exciting one in that it indicated the sorts of opportunities, the sorts of challenges and the sorts of achievements that man can have in a free society such as ours. I express the sympathy of my Party to the family of the late Sir William McKell.
