Senator Dame MARGARET GUILFOYLE —I direct a question to the Leader of the Government in the Senate. I note that a meeting is scheduled for this week between the Government and the Australian Council of Trade Unions to discuss the future of the prices and incomes accord. On what basis will matters affecting taxation policy be discussed in view of the Government's public no policy stance on all tax matters until the completion of the review by the Economic Planning Advisory Council? When is the EPAC report expected to be received by the Government?

Senator BUTTON —A meeting has been scheduled between the ACTU and the Government for some time now, as there will be other meetings in respect of the future of the prices and incomes accord. To the best of my knowledge at this stage there is no scheduled agenda for that meeting. I will make inquiries regarding that and give the honourable senator an answer as soon as possible.
