Senator PETER RAE(11.15) —I thank the Minister for Industry and Commerce (Senator Button) for his reply, which was not unanticipated. In the light of the absence of honourable senators on this side of the chamber who may have been present to participate in the debate, had they been interested-they were informed that the amendments would be moved-and in the light of what they have indicated by their vote on the last occasion that I called a division on these matters, having moved the amendments and anticipating that the Minister will not support them, I do not propose to call a division. I wish to explain and have it on record that the reason I do not call a division is that I think it would be simply a repetition of what has already been clearly determined on a previous vote. I do not want to waste the time of the Committee by calling a division.

Amendments negatived.

Bills agreed to.

Bills reported without amendment; reports adopted.
