Senator GARETH EVANS (Attorney- General) —I propose that it would suit the convenience of the Senate if there were a cognate debate on this Bill, the National Crime Authority (Status and Rights of Chairman) Bill and the National Crime Authority-Joint Statutory Committee-Consideration of message from the House of Representatives.

The DEPUTY PRESIDENT —Is it the wish of the Senate to have a general debate covering these measures? There being no objection, it is so ordered.
