(Question No. 1074)

Senator Bolkus asked the Minister for Resources and Energy, upon notice, on 24 August 1984:

(1) How many word processors, stenographers and typists are employed in the Minister's Department.

(2) As of 1 September 1984, how many such staff have been, or are, off work with repetition strain injury or suspected repetition strain injury.

Senator Walsh —The answer to the honourable senator's question is as follows:

(1) As at 1 September 1984, the Department of Resources and Energy had the following number of officers working in the categories specified: word processors 12, stenographers 45, typists 36.

(2) Word processors 3, stenographers 4, typists 5.
