Senator PRIMMER —Is the Attorney- General aware of the recent acquittal in the Australian Capital Territory Supreme Court of a 61-year-old man accused of assaulting a warder with a plate of baked beans? Was this man recently sentenced to eight months gaol for trespassing in government offices whilst distributing pamphlets on allegations of Public Service corruption and tenants' rights? Will the Attorney-General examine the whole background of this case in the light of the fact that the prisoner concerned sustained injuries at the hands of two strapping young warders?

Senator GARETH EVANS —I am not familiar with the details of the case to which Senator Primmer refers but I will investigate all aspects of it and advise him accordingly, if I am able to do so.
