The PRESIDENT —I inform the Senate that I have received the following letter, dated 22 August, from Senator Chaney:

Dear Mr President Pursuant to Standing Order 64, I give notice that today I propose to move-

'That, in the opinion of the Senate, the following is a matter of urgency: The need for the government to repeal the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Heritage (Interim Protection) Act because it is the wrong way to protect Aboriginal sacred sites and because of the conflict it is causing between Aboriginals and governments and between State and Federal governments.'
