Senator SCOTT (Leader of the National Party of Australia) —I would like to be associated personally and on behalf of the National Party of Australia with support for the motion of condolence on the occasion of the death of Tony Luchetti, for many years member for Macquarie. I knew Tony Luchetti reasonably well inside and outside the Parliament. His electorate edged to a point which is only about 120 miles from my home. In terms of Australian distance that is more or less next door. I think the remarkable thing about Tony Luchetti was that he followed into this Parliament the legendary figure of Ben Chifley and in the next 24 years Tony Luchetti became something of that nature too. I extend my sincere sympathy and the sympathy of my Party to Tony Luchetti' s wife and family.
