Senator MacGIBBON(9.48) — I refer to clause 28, which deals with compensation for the acquisition of property. Is property acquisition the only grounds on which compensation can be claimed? As an example, I instance the case of a mining company that was proceeding to implement a mining permit that it has . It was held up for a period of 30, 60 or more days by a declaration of the Minister. It was later found that this declaration was not sustained for some reason. Is the company able to have any remedy for compensation against the Commonwealth?
