Senator CHANEY (Leader of the Opposition)(8.51) —I thank the Minister for Social Security (Senator Grimes) for his reply but I do not believe that he has answered the points which I raised as to the potential breadth. I think the restrictions which the Minister has mentioned are really political restrictions rather than legal restrictions. However, I suggest that there is no point in further prolonging debate on these definitions. I think the position is reasonably clear from what we have heard of the debate so far. I simply want the Government to know that the Minister's response does not in any way reduce the concerns which I have expressed and which have been expressed by other Opposition senators.
