Senator WALTERS —My question is directed to the Leader of the Government in the Senate. In the Labor Government's view which is potentially more harmful to the environment and mankind, and why: A dam in the wilderness in a State with a Liberal government or a uranium mine in a desert in a Labor State?

Senator BUTTON —There is a standing order that says that questions should not be hypothetical or seek a hypothetical answer. I wish that there was a standing order saying that questions should not be stupid either and then I would not have to answer this at all. I do not propose to offer any answer to the question in view of the Standing Orders.
