Senator MACKLIN(10.29) —The Australian Democrats accept the views put by the Government in relation to the terms and conditions of consultants. We feel that the guarantees that have been provided in the Members of Parliament ( Staff) Bill in relation to finding information, while enabling the confidentiality of commercial operations to be maintained unless overriding reasons can be provided, are adequate.
